Where Our Cabinets Come From

Where our cabinets come from — and why it matters

You should know what you're buying. Here's the full chain.

Manufactured in Thailand

Our cabinets are made at a partner factory in Thailand specializing in solid hardwood doors and plywood-box cabinets. Thailand is the world's deepest source of sustainable rubberwood — a byproduct of the country's 3.5 million hectares of rubber plantations, harvested at the end of each tree's commercial latex life. It's a hardwood with a tight, even grain that takes paint and stain beautifully.

What's actually in the cabinet

  • Doors and face frames: Solid maple, five-piece Shaker construction
  • Cabinet box (sides, top, bottom, back): Furniture-grade plywood — no particleboard or MDF in the structural box
  • Hardware: Soft-close concealed hinges on every door, included standard
  • Finish: Paint or stain applied at the factory under controlled-temperature spray booths

Compliance — the boring stuff that actually matters

Three federal frameworks govern composite wood products in the United States. Our cabinets are documented compliant with all three.

  • CARB Phase 2 / TSCA Title VI: Federal law since 2019. Caps formaldehyde emissions from composite wood at ≤0.05 ppm for hardwood plywood. Our supplier provides current certificates of conformance for every shipment.
  • Lacey Act: Requires PPQ Form 505 declarations on the species, country of harvest, quantity, and value of every plant material used. We file this on every shipment.
  • Section 232 tariff (25%): Our cabinets face the standard import tariff, paid at port and reflected in our pricing. We do not face Chinese anti-dumping duties (up to 262% for Chinese-origin cabinets) because our cabinets are genuinely made in Thailand from Thai materials, with documented origin. Some importers play games here. We don't.

From factory to your kitchen

Containers ship from the Thai port to Long Beach, CA. We clear customs, file Lacey Act and TSCA Title VI paperwork, and truck the goods to our Anaheim warehouse. From there, your order ships directly to you anywhere in the U.S. — typically 5–7 business days from order confirmation.
